Fireman's Brand SPILLCLEAN® is a pH-neutral surface washing agent designed to help remove petroleum-based spills from roads, parking lots, maintenance facilities, airport tarmacs, and other hard surfaces. Used by municipalities, transportation departments, emergency response agencies, contractors, and industrial facilities, SPILLCLEAN helps crews address oil and fuel contamination quickly and effectively.
SPILLCLEAN surrounds, solubilizes, and emulsifies petroleum-based products, helping lift contaminants from the affected surface so they can be collected and properly disposed of. It is effective on many common spills, including:
From roadway fuel spills and leaking equipment to routine maintenance cleaning, SPILLCLEAN helps crews remove hydrocarbon contamination while supporting proper collection and disposal practices.
SPILLCLEAN is used for roadway spill response, fleet maintenance operations, public works activities, airport maintenance, and industrial cleanup applications. The product can be applied directly to the affected area, worked into the spill with a broom or brush, and rinsed in accordance with EPA guidance and applicable local regulations.
Because SPILLCLEAN is pH neutral, it is less irritating to skin than many highly acidic or highly alkaline cleaning products when used as directed. Organizations also use it during street sweeping and maintenance operations to help remove petroleum residue from paved surfaces and support proper containment of collected contaminants.
